1. The Black Phone: June 24, 2022

Scott Derrickson directs the Black Phone horror movie. It was adapted from a 2004 story bearing the same name by Joe Hill.

Derrickson has been a star in Doctor’s Strange (Marvel movies). It will bring up anticipation as fans await the movie release.

The movie is about five kids who a serial killer kidnaps. One victim (Finney Shaw) 13 years old boy, is trapped in a soundproof basement. He finds a disconnected phone that can echo the voices of previously killed victims.

They try to assist him in escaping and want to ensure Finney doesn’t trail the same route they went through. If you love being scared, this is one of the top horror movies of all time to look forward to.

2. Nope: July 22, 2022

Nope has been directed and written by Jordan Peele. It has scanty information making it real suspense to wait. One can’t afford to miss some entertaining familiar faces such as Chris Washington and Steven Yeun, who became a star on the TV cables with The Walking Dead.

There is also Keke Palmer and Daniel Kaluuya, one of the figures who made it through in the Get Out.

The mysterious poster of an ominous- storm cloud has left every horror movie fan in awe. Could this be a continuation of what could have happened to Kaluuya after his severe trauma?

3. Texas Chainsaw Massacre: February 18, 2022

The name suggests that, indeed, this is one scary movie. It is based on a true story about a horror legend (Leatherface). It’s a direct sequel from the 1974 Texas Chain Saw Massacre.

The film is directed by David Blue Garcia and written by Chris Thomas Devlin. It stars Fede Alvarez, Kim Henkel, Ian Henkel, Rodo Sayagues, Pat Cassidy and Shintaro Shimosawa

It’s about Melody, her sister Lila and their friends Ruth and Dante, who had an idea of venturing into business in a remote town. After they unintentionally bumped into Leatherface house, a serial killer, the idea was shuttered off.

What will happen to Sarah and the rest? Will they be massacred by Leatherface, who is hunting the residents and is ready to wipe out these young friends who have disrupted him?

4. Scream 5: Release date: January 14, 2022

The film is the 5th installment in the Scream franchise. Matt Bettinelli-Olpin directed it. It stars most of the characters who took part in the previous installments, such as Melissa Barrera, Neve Campbell, Jenna Ortega, Mikey Madison, and Dylan Minnette.

The direct sequel from the 4th installment is the first movie where Wes Craven, who has been the director in the previous films, will not participate in, as he died in 2015.

A new killer Ghostface who targets a group of teenagers to get secrets about Woodsboro town comes to the limelight. Tara, who is at home alone, is attacked by the Ghostface and becomes seriously injured. The group of teenagers learns of Tara’s attack and looks to stop the killer.

5. You Won’t Be Alone – Release date: 1stApril 2022

The movie is directed and written by Goran Stolevski, starring Carloto Cotta, Noomi Rapace, Alice Englert, etc.

It follows a young girl that is turned into a witch by spirits. She roams into the woods and meets a peasant whom she accidentally kills.

She takes the corpse shape to get the life in her skin. But this makes her thirst more for what it would feel like to be a human. Will the young girl continue wiping out the lives of others to quench her curiosity?

6. Halloween Ends: 14 October, 2022

Halloween Ends will conclude David Gordon Green’s contemporary “Halloween” trilogy. It takes four years after the events of “Halloween Kills,” which will be released in 2020, and once again cast Jamie Lee Curtis, who was the only survivor of Michael Myers’ 1978 murdering spree.

When Laurie’s daughter Karen is murdered, she will undoubtedly seek vengeance on the serial murderer alongside her granddaughter Allyson Nelson. Paul Brad Logan,  Green, Chris Bernier, and Danny McBride collaborated on the script for “Halloween Ends.”

7. Salem’s Lot: 9 September 2022

Salem’s Lot has been directed and written by Gary Dauberman. It’s an adaptation of a novel produced in 1975 with the same name. The film stars Bill Camp, Makenzie Leigh, Lewis Pullman, and Alfre Woodard.

Salem’s Lot is about a writer (Ben) who lived in Jerusalem’s Lot when young. He decides to return to his country of origin to write a book about his childhood. However, his plans come to a standstill when he discovers that everybody he knew turned out to be a vampire.
