Supra trainers for daytrippers and nightwalkers

The Summer Solstice is upon us and to celebrate the longest day of the year, the hordes will be descending on Stonehenge and other spiritual sites to watch the sunrise. In their own form of sungazing, Los Angeles based trainer brand SUPRA twist the words of the great English bard to chant, “the eye of man hath not heard, the ear of man hath never seen, the shoes that will appear in this midsummer night’s dream.” And lo and behold, we have trainers for daytripping and trainers for nightwalking! Inspired.

The SUPRA trainers honors the pagan holiday with “The Summer Solstice Pack” which includes two Society Mids: one is dedicated to sky gazing sun worshippers, while the other is for the merry wanderers of the night. We are rather impressed.

The shoes come in a limited edition of only 413 (sequentially numbered) night time pairs (in black) and 413 daytime pairs (in sky blue). Some facts. Be prepared to wear the daytime ones for a good few hours longer than the hours of darkness pair if you are wearing them on midsummer’s day. Which means if it was midsummer’s day every day, the blue shoes would last a good deal longer than the black shoes, that is if you are an insomniac. Oh, and by the way, we have no idea if the number 413 has any significance but maybe it’s something pagan if so.

The SUPRA trainers “Summer Solstice Pack” is on sale from Saturday, June 18 exclusively at Colette (Paris), Solebox (Berlin), Sneakersnstuff (Stockholm), ONE at Slam City Skates (London) and Factory 413 (USA).
