Red Wing Shoes profile – Rugged & timeless for fashionable feet

Red Wing Boots have been a leading American football brand for over 100 years.

Established in 1905, the company was set up by Charles Beckman, a shoe merchant from Minnesota. During this period, America was becoming increasingly industrialised with mining, logging and farming largely dominating.

Such tough, demanding professions took its toll on the existing footwear of the period, with shoes becoming worn and damaged easily. Beckman noticed that the changing economic landscape required more from footwear. He set about to provide durable work boots that could survive harsh working conditions, as well as being comfortable too. As a result, Red Wing shoes was born.

Over 100 years on and Red Wing Shoes are still committed to delivering the very best quality footwear. Nowadays, they are not just worn by workmen. They have crossed into the world of fashion and are frequently seen on the feet of the most stylish. We took a look at the range of Red Wing Boots available from Liquor Store Clothing, and selected some of our favourites for this season.

The Chukka boot is our front-runner from the range. The classic design of these sturdy boots has been given a contemporary twist through their rich brown colour and stand-out signature white sole. These lightweight boots would look great with a pair of dark denim jeans and a casual shirt of your choice for an effortlessly cool look. They could also be worn for more formal occasions.

The Oxford shoe is another favourite of ours. This style of shoe was originally built for factory managers who were looking for durable footwear for the work place. These shoes have more than just practicality though. With their eye-catching burnt orange colour and contrasting yellow laces, these shoes will add a splash of colour to any man’s winter wardrobe. The durable leather material, with thick sturdy sole is an example of Red Wing’s incredible craftsmanship and will see you through season after season.
