Sacrifice & Bliss – video for the brain storming single Hit Me

I do like a bit of lippy on a frontman. All the best men (and women) who dare to put themselves on the line always love to experiment with their image.

Well meet Roger Hany the singer (and bassist) who fronts Sacrifice & Bliss. We don’t want our music stars to look like that bloke that serves us at B & Q.

Roger has intensity and hat look in his eye. He means it  – and he and his band deliver. This is their own hybrid rock n roll that loves to forage and experiment. You can hear snatches of the bands they loves such as Radiohead and Sly and The Family Stone but they transcend their influences to create anew.

You are hit by catchy staccato guitar riffs coming at you from all angles courtesty of cohort John K Lucy . The voice though meanders through the chaos and keep us hooked in with its powerful melodic lines.

Hit me is not just a blast of shattering guitar and haunting vocal shards. This band has a mind. The video has them performing in Brixton skate park. This glamour has a hard edge. Frontman Roger Hany explains that “Hit Me” was written about “breaking out of the comfort of your everyday life. It’s about taking a step outside of the recognisable, and knowing somehow, that what lies ahead will certainly be rough, but also, will certainly be worth taking the hit”.

From our point of view we love to see new bands putting their necks on the line in this way. This has a glam swagger but with a purpose. Their is a brain as well as power and hooks.

Hit Me is released Friday 4th November and taken from the debut album out next year. Find out more on Sacrifice & Bliss at sacrificeandbliss.com
