Sun Sun Sun is the essence of the day as Tom Ford Private Blend sees the arrival of its newest connoiseur perfume. Lavender Palm aims to capture the sparkling vitality of a relaxed, refined vision of California.
So no images of a downtown LA, steaming twenty lane highways, or Beverley Hills excesses here. Think more sparkling sunlight, expansive coastlines and natural blossoms. California Dreaming here we come.
The Tom Ford Private Blend Collection is a range of exclusive fragrances, that evoke classic journeys, and traditional atmospheres with names like Bois Marocain, Arabian Wood and Italian Cypress. Launched in 2007 with an original 12 Eau de Parfum bottles, the range has extended since then. It is neither male nor female, focussing on ethereal, intense luxury for the true fragrance junky.
Lavender Palm combines the bright flash of Lavandin and the herbal tones of Lavender Absolute, with citrusy lemon and bergamot for a shot of brilliance. The long lasting low end is warm with Benzoin, Tonka Bean, Olibanum and Green Moss. It’s a subtle, relaxed scent that wafts back at you through the day in a dreamy, sundrenched vibey way. This is no old-aunt-Lavender – more sun in a bottle, seductive and exhilarating.
The Tom Ford Private Blend packaging is unchanged – straight from the parfumer’s apothecary, with dark brown glass in a weighty 50ml flacon, or superb 250ml decanter.
Tom Ford Private Blend Lavender Palm (£120 (50ml) and £270 (250ml) is available at Harvey Nichols, Leeds from February 2012.
