Wild Beasts – A Simple Beautiful Truth video plus dates and remixes announced

We like this video for Wild Beasts latest single A Simple Beautiful Truth.

We see the band dressed up to the nines in some very fetching neon garb pirouetting in the English countryside to their hearts’ content.

You can rely on this band to do things their own way and that includes the video as well as the song. It fits the uplifting mood of the track and makes you want to get out there yourself into the wilds. A Simple Beautiful Truth video was actually shot by film maker Klaus Thymann in the rolling landscape of the Brecon Beacons. According to the director himself:

“We were inspired enough by the absurdist approach taken by Talking Heads to don electric suits and dance in the ether on the top of a Beacons mountain. We wanted to capture the weightlessness of a song like A Simple Beautiful Truth, to attempt something so ridiculous as to be sublime. The experience was strangely liberating and we asked ourselves why we hadn’t done this before.”

The single is from the new album Present Tens’ which has won much praise in many quarters. Wild Beasts are to release a remix package for the A Simple Beautiful Truth, featuring mixes from Lone, Djrum and East India Youth. This will be available from 19th May on 12”. They’ve just announced some UK and international gig dates too for all you fans out there. For more info go to the website
