Barbour International X Deus Ex Machina

Like the ‘Hand of God’, Deus Ex Machina roared into Australia with its custom made motorcycles. And now they are pairing up with Barbour International on a fashion collection for fans of Barbour clothing’s heritage biker style.

Launched in 2006, Deus Ex Machina have exploded with flagship stores in Sydney, Bali and Los Angeles and its first foray into Europe hitting Milan. Meaning, “God from the Machine,” a Deus Ex Machina store is a cultural and creative hub for all things biker, surf and cycle as well as complimentary fashion and accessories attracting fans from across the globe. So it’s a bit of a no-brainer to see Barbour International collaborating with the Australian premium brand on the first menswear collaboration that Barbour International has put out since becoming a stand alone brand.

The capsule collection of Barbour waxed jacket and knitwear designs combine the energy, dynamism and youthful passion of Deus Ex Machina with the authenticity and heritage of Barbour International. The result includes archive inspired Barbour motorcycle jackets with luxurious leather collars, rugged Beeswax outers and specially designed Barbour and Deus Ex Machina studs alongside simple knitwear and hand drawn tees.

Ian Bergin, Head of Menswear said, “Deus Ex Machina is the ideal partner to launch our first collaboration on Barbour International. The collection incorporates the tradition of our long biking heritage into contemporary designs in a modern fit to create some very special products. It’s a collection that is bound to attract interest amongst bike loving aficionados across the world. Rugged Barbour construction married with Australian resourcefulness and a strong sense of creating products which are intrinsically right.”

Dare Jennings from Deus Ex Machina said, “We are delighted to be sharing some of our DNA with Barbour International, a brand that holds a special place in our hearts as motorcycling enthusiasts.”
