Burberry and Noisey Brit Sound + Rhythm Shorts – Episode 3 with London Grammar

Many of us have had to tackle the nerves, keep a lid on the excitement as we take those first few awkward steps onto the stage to face the waiting audience.

Burberry and Noisey have come together to produce a series of films, Burberry Brit Sound + Rhythm, that epitomise the nature of the iconic British fashion brand’s new fragrance, Brit Rhythm. The unique vitality of the British music industry is one of the key influences behind the scent.

That heady blend of mystery, energy and excitement we find in our favourite bands are instilled in the fragrance with notes of leather, cardamom, patchouli, and cedar wood creating its own unique character. The films reveal some of the thinking behind some key new British bands and musicians. Six shorts take us through the innermost thoughts of some of the UK’s finest as they prepare to take to the stage and face their audiences eye to eye.

So what’s next for Burberry Brit Sound + Rhythm? Well, Episode 3 which can be seen here focuses on London Grammar who are turning heads up and down the country as I write. They are an enthralling blend of influences such as classic bubble gum pop, darker inward looking indie, 70’s glam and even, dare I say it, a trip hop beating heart.  Fronted by the delightful Hannah Reid with her warm and soul dipped vocals the band is destined to do great things in the coming months.

The short film reveals the important role music played on their band members’ lives and lets us in on the shambles and chaos of their first performances. And fast forward to now; how do they tackle their own emotions and nerves as they prepare to see the white of the eyes of the assembled hoards? The film can be seen at the Burberry Brit Sound + Rhythm Tumblr which is also packed with interviews, images and editorials.
