Footlocker have announced their new in-store collections for Spring this year and they’ve been very busy collaborating with the top brands to come up with some exclusive new trainers in colours ready for the sunnier seasons.
Neutral and perfect for this season, the formula is a mono palette of silvery-grey, black and white with splashes of brights on vintage shoes across the brands. So we see new trainers from Converse Denim, Reebok RealFlex, adidas ZX, Lacoste Platinum, Nike Vintage and Nike Air Max all re-coated and raring to go…..
Lacoste Platinum
The Lacoste Platinum range for Footlocker this Spring features a premium collection of five sneakers. The Tabor Platinum, is re-designed featuring the classic tennis inspired upper and Lacoste crocodile logo in glossy black with red outline. The Centara combines the chukka silhouette with a soft suede collar and premium nappa upper. With its tennis heritage, the Grad Vulc sneaker has clean lines in white and dazzling blue with silver thread and a luxurious suede heel. And completing the set are the Europa and the Newsome.
Nike Air Max Correlate
The innovative Nike Air Max is updated to the Nike Air Max Correlate. The striking new bright blue and green leather works well against the dark mesh backdrop, while the instantly recognisable leather swoosh and tongue is a subtle reminder of Air Max heritage. This latest edition features three eye-catching volt green Air Max units.
Converse Denim Chambray
Converse’s contribution offers up two versatile sneakers in denim. The Padded Collar 2 Denim and Star Reverb Denim are part of a work wear inspired collection that takes modern classics and gives them a designer edge. The PC2 Denim uses dark navy and black denim in a double upper which can be worn folded down to expose an enlarged logo, or up, for a classic boot look. The Star Reverb Denim takes its influences from iconic Converse basketball sneakers but adds a designer edge complimented by stitching and seams that are found in premium denim.
The Nike Blazer Vintage and Big Nike AC
From Nike’s basketball heritage come new styles of two iconic sneakers. Exclusive to Footlocker, the Nike Blazer Vintage receives the full vintage makeover – epitomised by the yellow outsole detail that adds a ‘worn-in’ feel. The lightweight Phylon midsole provides cushioning, while the rubber toe offers extra protection – a smart addition to a stylish sneaker. The Big Nike AC is back with authentic yellow Autoclave midsole, split padded tongue and ankle collar and innovative Nike technology for extra comfort street ready for 2012.
Reebok RealFlex Racer
Reebok has combined the feel of a natural run, using inspiration from the Reebok Heritage running sneaker, with a modern take on street style, exclusively for Foot Locker. Providing the best aspects of barefoot running shoes with the protection of a street smart sneaker, the design of the Reebok RealFlex Racer promotes the natural movement of the foot, with more support and padding from the hard ground thanks to its thicker sole and foam lining. The upper features mesh textile and lightweight overlay.
Adidas Originals ZX Comp
Foot Locker and adidas Originals are introducing the ZX Comp this spring, a sneaker influenced by two vintage adidas running silhouettes from the ‘80s: the ZX 750 and the LA Competition. The ZX Comp brings the ‘80s vibe back into the streets, alongside some new colours and materials for some old favourites. For the guys there’s a reversible windbreaker from the MEGA range, while the ladies have the LA Trainer and Hard Court Hi, which also integrate classic ‘80s details.
