The Green Goblin skin is about to leave the shop! Don’t miss the chance to cosplay the notorious Spiderman villain.
Epic Games has made many collaborations with several franchises which resulted in some of the best character skins making their way into the game.
Players have seen hundreds of crossover skins come and go in the Fortnite item shop. The game has made some collabs with popular titles or franchises such as Star Wars, God of War, Naruto, and Riot’s Netflix Series Arcane. With Spiderman No Way Home becoming a hit Marvel film and rising in popularity, Epic Games has made their move to have a crossover between the Spiderverse and Fortnite.
What is Fortnite?
Fortnite is an online battle royale game developed by Epic Games. The game sees players with Fortnite accounts dropped into a large island wherein they will for survival. Like most battle royales, gamers will have to scavenge, loot, and kill other players in order to become the last man or last team standing. What differentiates Fortnite from other games in the genre is that Fornite has a building element where players can build walls, stairs, or roofs during battle. These structures can serve as ramps to get to higher ground or as shields to block incoming enemy bullets.
Unlike BR games, Fortnite has cartoonish visuals that some find goofy. However, this did not stop the game from being one of the premiere battle royale games for many years. Fortnite has one of the largest active player bases in this genre which can be attributed to its unique playstyle and various gimmicks such as collaborations and events.
Green Goblin Skin
Fortnite is famous for making crossovers with several franchises such as other games, tv series, films, and anime shows. Some of the most popular collabs include Kratos from God of War, all members of Team 7 from the popular Naruto anime, and Mando from Mandalorian. Some of the crossovers usually occur as promotional events for other franchises. Good examples of promotional crossovers are the Star Wars New Saga collab wherein players got to use lightsabers and the Arcane x Fortnite collab which made the Jinx skin available for purchase.
Epic Games have introduced Green Goblin as the newest Marvel-inspired skin to enter the game’s roster of crossover characters. Spiderman and Venom already made their appearance in the game last month as one of the promotional characters for Spiderman No Way Home. It seems that the soaring popularity of the movie has warranted the gaming studio to introduce Norman Osborn’s alter ego to the game’s growing roster of Marvel-inspired skins.
The Green Goblin skin will be based on the villain’s look in the comics rather than the one in the film. The costume will be using the comic’s light green and dark magenta shade of the armor with the face hidden with a goblin mask. Along with the skin, the Goblin bundle will also include several signature items of the villain. Here is the current list of things included in the collab:
- Pumpkin Bomb Back Bling
- Arm the Pumpkin! Emote
- Goblin Glider
- Pumpkin P’Axe
- Attack of the Goblin Loading Screen
The back bling and the skin are bundled together when bought. Meanwhile, the emote, the Glider, and the P’axe are sold separately from the costume, so gamers who are aiming to get the full Green Goblin attire will have to spend extra money on it unless they buy the whole pack. The Loading screen is exclusive to those who bought the full bundle.
How Much Are Each Individual Item and the Whole Bundle?
The Green Goblin costume plus the Pumpkin Bomb bling will cost 1,500 V-bucks. The Goblin Glider and Pumpkin P’axe will cost 800 V-bucks individually while the Arm the Pumpkin! Emote will cost around 200 V-bucks. For gamers who are looking to buy everything, it is best to purchase the whole bundle as it costs 2,100 V-bucks which will save players 2,200 V-bucks.
How Long will the Green Goblin Items and Bundle Last?
The Goblin skin and its accessories are set to leave the item shop soon to make way for other upcoming skins. There is no current confirmed date yet on when it will be removed from the shop. However, gamers can assume that it will be taken off the shelf a few days before the next crossover skins appear. For players who are looking to imitate the notorious archnemesis of Spiderman, they should buy the bundle before it’s gone from the shop.
Epic Games has no intention of stopping with its waves of collaboration. Gamers can safely assume that the Fortnite item shop will never run out of skins from other franchises. For now, players should focus on saving up and buying the skins that are currently available. Fans of the Spiderverse should definitely try to get the Green Goblin skin while it is still in the shop. Who knows how long it will take till it makes a return?
