Jo Loves: Launches Mandrine fragrance for summer

Most of you probably already know, there’s a new Jo on the block! The progeny of scent maverick, Jo Malone, Jo Loves is the secret project revealed in 2011 that bottled Jo’s passion to create artisan, beautiful and unexpected fragrances and pioneer new products and experiences.

Leaving behind the brand that takes your name can’t be easy, but that is exactly the route that Jo Malone took in 2006 when she decided to leave behind ‘Jo Malone’ – which was now owned by Estee Lauder – and take a new path.

Launching Jo Loves with the wonderful Pomelo fragrance (I have honestly never had so many unsolicited compliments on a fragrance in my life), and innovating with the shot candle concept, this summer the new Mandrine cologne wakes us up with just one spritz!

Mandrine is a wonderfully bright and sophisticated new fragrance. This beautiful blend of bergamot oil, bitter orange, lemon tree leaf and petitgrain transports you somewhere familiar where the sun warms your skin and the soft scent of citrus surrounds you.

Peppered with aromatic thyme and crushed spices, Jo says, “Five years ago, I created two fragrances, both inspired by my long love affair with classic colognes, but reimagined my way by adding unexpected twists to create a completely new and vibrant presence. One was Pomelo; bursting with grapefruit, and the other was Mandrine; stylish, refined with a slightly more masculine finish.

Confident and carefree, Mandrine is my creative interpretation of those special moments in life when you feel completely happy and relaxed. It represents times when I feel fulfilled and content with where I am in life.”

Gonna go get some!

Mandrine – £110 (100ml) / £65 (50ml) – is available exclusively at Jo Loves, 42 Elizabeth Street, London, SW1W 9NZ and at Joloves.com.
