With Halloween in October, it seems like a perfectly fitting time to talk about skeletons. Skeleton watches by Storm that is. And we have a wonderful Cognition watch from the 2015 range to give away to a lucky reader!

It’s like peeling away the skin to reveal a walking skeleton, these are incredible STORM watches where the timepiece outer is cut away and sculpted to reveal the open-worked interior. The minimized metal movement is then placed between two clear glass cases for amazing see-through detailing.

 

 

But revealing the movement in all its glory is no easy feat. There is an art to achieving the proper balance of tiny and thin, as well as strong and workable. The STORM Dualon is a traditional style watch with multi layered exposed cog design. And now, the new for 2015 STORM’s Cognition skeleton watch, has quickly become the best seller this season.

Based in the UK, STORM first hit the stores in 1989, with some amazingly innovative designs. Anna Lee, Founder of STORM, spoke about the creation of the new Cognition model: “After seeing the success of our STORM Dualon watch we realised there was high demand for additional models with layered up cog dials. For us the skeleton design allows us to add value to the product, customers like to be able to see the inner workings of the watch and appreciate the intricate detailing that’s gone into the design. We also plan on introducing a ladies skeleton watch very soon.”
