Votch are an ultra-stylish watch brand that takes its cruelty free, vegan values seriously. These are watches that have a contemporary look for modern men and women. And luckily for you we have one for you to win in our latest competition.
Votch only launched a few months back but they have already created a stir, so much so that they are now available at www.watchshop.com. The brand was founded by Laura Stagemen come in two case sizes – 38mm or 36 mm – made with only the highest end components, all furnished with the best grade vegan faux leather straps. Colours range through more neutral black and gold, or black and silver, to eyecathing rose gold with pink, coral or blue. It’s not just their construction though that is ethical; each season Votch choose a different animal charity to support and a percentage of profits are donated.
The brand began after Laura was diagnosed with Tropical Steroid Withdrawal, a rare skin condition which caused her skin to literally flake and fall off. An animal lover, she used her time whilst convalescing to research animal welfare and vowed to never again wear another animal’s skin on her own once she recovered.
“Seeing the suffering that animals endured simply for fashion, and having felt the pain of losing my own skin, I vowed never to wear the skin of another being again. I knew I had to create something where I could make a change in this world.”
When an old watch strap broke she tried to replace it with a cruelty free vegan version but it was an almost impossible task. She knew then what she wanted to do. A lightbulb moment and Votch was born.
